ON DECK: August 2012 Edition (DLX, Independent, & Andale)
Back to school is right around the corner, which means now is a perfect time to treat yourself to a new board and end the summer right! New shipments are arriving daily, so the board wall and skate case are looking fresh.
Krooked stays on point, and those familiar with the brand will not be disappointed with their new offerings. Bobby Worrest and Mark Gonzalez both have regular “popsicle” decks in great shapes with even greater graphics. For those looking to get a cruiser, Krooked has plenty of unique styles to choose from, including a special edition Zig Zagger by HUF.
If you haven’t checked out our boy Massimo’s new video part, peep that! If you want moves like the Mossman… well that’s another story, but getting something from Real Skateboards under your feet would be a good start. Chima’s new “Cheetos” rip-off board is a tasty option, looking just as tempting as a real bag of the finger staining munchies. Those preferring a more low-key graphic might opt for one of the new Busenitz or Ishod models with the classic Real asthetic. The true highlight though from this batch is the new model from Ishod based off the cover of Ice-T’s classic album, “Power.” Bad chick, big gun, two different sizes to choose from, this one’s definitely a winner.
It’s usually pretty hard to make an already great product even better. Independent did just that by recently teaming up with rider/artist, Brian Anderson, for a new truck collaboration. The black and red limited edition trucks come in the classic 139 and 149 Stage 10′s, and have a cool Indy graphic done by Brian on the hanger. Pick up a set of these now, as they won’t be around for long, and don’t forget to get the matching BA Cross t-shirt too!
Cody Hale demonstrates proper Indy usage while sporting the BA Cross tee.
Ever wondered if you might be able to skate switch as smooth as P-Rod? Or hold manuals like Joey Brezinski? Now you can get one step closer thanks to their new bearing company, Andale. Paul and Joey linked up to start Andale and offer something refreshing in the bearing category. Their Abec 5 and Abec 7 bearings are both very affordable, starting at $13.95. Those riders in need of a little more somethin’, somethin’ are taken care of with an upgraded “Swiss” option. So, stuff yo’ wheels with some Andale and join “Team Burrito” today!
These are just the highlights and there is plenty more product scheduled to arrive. Hit up that Skateboard Website or swing by our local brick and mortar and let us know what we can help you with! Happy Shredding!
