A Few things about Kyle Leeper on Stereo
Hats off to Stereo and Kyle Leeper for joining forces for the betterment of skateboarding. I only say betterment because this seems like a way nice fit. Leeper and his skating fit well within the Stereo skateboarding tradition. The dude skates fast with a leisurely style and he chooses tricks that look fun to do while swerving through traffic and/or city alleyways. There are two tricks that stand out amongst the other rad one though. First there’s the front board to fakie on the yellow flatbar by the 10 freeway. That flat bar has been getting moves on it since Mouse era Girl skaters, so it’s refreshing to see someone opt for a high speed buttery classic, while disregarding the laundry list of ‘already been dones’. It’s a bold move and speaks volumes about this dude’s tastes. And for those looking for “never been dones” we have the second trick: Brooklyn banks wall ride nollie b/s 180 all the way around to fakie. Again, smooth, fast, and breaking some ground without making things too complicated.
