Kalis Episode 3….Parental Fears, Invisible Era Jamie Thomas, and the Road to PB

Nothing boring about episode 3. Kalis is taken to a mental institute by an armed individual whom he later finds out was hired by his father. Then he gets released from said compound with the help of his mother. The post escape footage is where the classic Kalis skating and attire become evident: crooked MLB cap, Windbreaker, Chinos, and skating that is pleasing to the eye. Then there’s Jamie Thomas and the invitation to live in the wonderful place that is Pacific Beach, CA.

Kalis mentions that he hadn’t been skating at all when Jamie Thomas came through town. It’s similar to that Brian Anderson episode where BA mentions not having skated much around the time when he skated SF with the Welcome to Hell era Toy Machine dudes. With Kalis’ and BA’s skills on board it would be weird to assume that either hadn’t been skating, because the skate footage is so proper. Watching their comfort while on board, It seems like they must have been training….but people didn’t train back then.
