“Destiny is something we’ve invented because we can’t stand the fact that everything that happens is accidental.” – Sleepless in Seattle.
We’re going to Seattle folks. Kickin’ it real nice with Evan. The travel squad consists of myself, JMar, & Jason (JP-Deluxe). Jason can’t stop stressing out and is worried about us missing our flight. He threw up last night, but he says he’s fine….

It’s Jared’s Birthday today. Send him spam junk mail and birthday wishes at jaredvalejunkmail@gmail.com.
Jared used to be a huge Peter Line fan, and I think Pete lives in Seattle. Evan has a good story about Pete and I have a good photo of Jared & Pete.

THE BATTLE AT THE BERRICS: Standings February 23, 2009: … Who would’ve thought Johnny Layton had it in him to take out MJ? … and who would’ve thought in turn Billy Marks would beat Johnny Layton? Apparently only Krusher!… who is making his steady rise from the bottom to having a future as the winner. Watching all them skate videos is starting to pay off. If I could only shake butters, first place would be that much sweeter.

He’s labeled as a “Bad Character.” Stones Throw x Kid Robot “Lord in a Box”. This shit is tight. An 8-inch Quasimoto figure that comes with a brick in his hand and a “cigarette” in his mouth…. No idea who I’m talking about? Peep the the History of Lord Quas.

2 Degrees of Evan Schiefelbine: Eman showed me this, and now I am showing it to you. A little excerpt from “Global Enlightenment” Kool Keith… genius? No question!

I know this new method might discourage leaving comments, since you have to scroll all the way down. But the comment box is down there. So speak up, be heard, I need those popularity points for self-esteem reasons.

“We’re the Party People, night and day. Living crazy, that’s the only way.”-MJ
When’s the last time you did something just because you could? Not recently eh? Is it because you just didn’t have the cash to flippantly spend on some crap “just because you could”? Or, are you well planned and methodical with all your actions, and always carry things out with intention?
Either way, you probably should be doing things “just because you can” a bit more often. Why do I say this? Well I guess it wasn’t a recent revelation, but obviously Michael Jackson has been doing things “just because he could” for most of his adolescent and adult life. And, the auction at Neverland really reaffirms it.
All this crap is for sale this weekend. You should get some of it!

I’m starting to wish I worked at Forbes magazine. It seems like they sit around all day making lists of crap.

I used to think that Spike Jonze was really original. But, it looks like Mexico has some great stuff to rip-off.

I can hear Tyler’s heartbreaking over this one, at least Rock Band still has some credibility.

“We need to prepare ourselves for the possibility that sometimes big changes follow from small events, and that sometimes these changes can happen very quickly.”- Malcolm Gladwell
JohnFool, Chikami, & Butters took to the road this morning. My prediction is that the next Morse Code will contain some AZ footage. However, I am doubtful that it will contain any of mine (I’m saving that shit for the full length video). Good luck & good times gentlemen.

“The key to getting people to change their behavior sometimes lies with the smallest details of their immediate situation.” – Malcolm Gladwell
I’ve decided to change the way I post new content. We’ll see if this helps to increase the amount of newness for the maximum amount of wigs being pushed back. If nothing else, at least you’ll be able to look at the old shit.

lately I’ve been blowing it and I have been too lazy to write a post. sorry.
Battle at the Berrics: Speaking of blowing it…. Offensive toe drag gets one do-over…. Where’s my do-over? Fairfax was doing work, but the ref got caught slipping. I have four freeze frames of drag & I want to challenge the play. (Check the way Jeron came up to Benny on the sly after the game….) I had money on Ellington, so shit someone owes me 5 bucks. Ask Benny he’ll tell you he didn’t land that clean. Tell ‘em Benny. And while they are at it, get this guy on Chocolate or somethin’, someone should turn him pro, he is obviously down with Jeron. The guy’s rippin’ steadily. Rickk make a phone call.
Watch the games yourself, make your own call… then check the current standings (Just a side note, this call cost me 3 points)
Standings February 10, 2009: These 3rd round games are worth 3 points, and the gaps are starting to widen up.
27 Points: JohnFool
26 Points: BK, JMAR, Johnny Franck
25 Points: Chikami, BillSir
24 Points: Boomer
23 Points: Butters
22 Points: Faber, Jared, Chase
21 Points: James Clifford, Tyler
20 Points: Krusher, Keck
19 Points: Claire, JP-Deluxe, Pat @ Globe
18 Points: Devan G, Carter
17 Points: O’Connor
16 Points: Shon
13 Points: Will @ Volcom
Some other Stuff:
Lil’ Wayne didn’t win album of the year and neither did Radiohead, but Thom was running some buttery high tops & Radiohead did have a pretty awesome performance. But is it really Radiohead if only 2 of the members are on stage? What if Ringo had played drums for McCartney? Could they have called it a Beatles performance? You decide.
Mos Def also performed on Sunday night at the House of Blues on Sunset, and JohnFool and I were in attendance. JohnFool really likes Mos Def & now I think I know why…. (click here for explanation)
If you get a chance to watch this, check it out. Its pretty entertaining and homeboy is pretty insane. Anybody backflipping the mega-ramp on a tricycle deserves at least a glimpse. Nitro Circus.
Johnny Franck stopped by yesterday which is always a treat. Visitors at the shop are what help get us through that tough 5-7 block. So if you’re in the neighborhood that’s always a good time to stop by and say what’s up, We appreciate it. Johnny is the long time owner of a pretty proper beard and I think he might have been born with it. It reminds me of Hank Scorpio, don’t remember him, look him up.
Hank Scorpio: By the way, Homer, what’s your least favorite country? Italy or France?
Homer: France.
[Scorpio adjusts a giant laser cannon pointing towards the sky]
Hank Scorpio: Heh heh heh. Nobody ever says Italy…

CRAP!
“…Excuse me? You did just start this conversation off by saying crap didn’t you?”
WELCOME BACK! if you haven’t heard already the “Fiesta Platter” is back via Taco Bell. Taco Bell is notorious for bringing in speciality items for a limited time and then without warning taking it away. The “Fiesta Platter” was one of the items, so normally when they bring an item back of such a high caliber, I tend to go overboard and order it so much that I don’t ever want to eat it again. I plan to go overboard once again…. I currently hold the unofficial record for the most consecutive days eating a “Fiesta Platter” and I challenge someone to go double digits….
Congratulations to the guys over at AWS for putting together a smooth piece of cinema. If you weren’t there it comes out on 2/6/09 & if you want a critique then go the SLAP message boards. All that’s important is that the skating was rad and the cut scenes were psychedelic, everything you need, want, and expect from the camp at Alien. Plus it’s always pretty awesome to see the new video premiere together with some of the best in business. Sal Barbier & Tim Gavin were two seats to my right, Rickk & Guy were two rows behind me, & some asshole screaming “FUCK YEAH!!” the whole time in my ear sat right behind me. Man I love video premieres.
You can’t define him, he is many things. Tell ‘em Mike….
SMOKIN’ WOLF Sighting: (January 26, 2009) photo courtesy of Shon.

Engulfed in the smoke, still holding the Liberty deck & banana.
…Homeboy is definitely out of his mind, and the last time we saw him, he was in the lurking in the shop shoeless muttering about the new Jimi Hendrix album. Rumor has it that is is wandering the streets in a Baker G-Code belly shirt…. someone please get us a photo.

PHOTO OF THE DAY: a request to see clint e, from a guy who looks like clint p. who we call Eman.
The Eiger Sanction Production notes: “This film has developed a cult following because of the authentic mountain-climbing sequences at the end of the film. Since the film was made in 1975, there were no CGI effects used — all the mountain climbing was real. Clint Eastwood did all his own stunts, saying that he couldn’t expect a stuntman to risk his life if he wasn’t ready to risk his own. Many rock climbers, mountaineers, and even critics who didn’t like the film praise these scenes for their realism, and have said they make the film worth watching.
During the making of this film, a stunt man David Knowles, who was also a professional rock climber, was killed when a boulder hit him.” – (Wikipedia article: The Eiger Sanction)

check the list of stuff white people like. #11 is asian chicks….. the list is pretty accurate
Isn’t that the Cellar motto? “push as many whigs back as possible”.
Fuck this! This is ridiculous. Layton’s knee explodes, MJ defeats the “Legion of Doom” then Berra contracts belly Herpes?! Strange things are afoot with that whole bracket. At this rate, I got $5 that says Billy Marks accidentally murders Mike Mo in the next game with a fakie triple flip to the eye socket. Billy, you takes my money but you dose not work.
layton took out mj, whowouldathunkit. anybody hatin?
only people that have spent time in the laundry closet @ the las pamas apt under the 57 91 interchange will truly know that it indeed takes the money but it dose not work
Hoped you’d quote Chief Seattle instead of date movie, dude. Twin Peaks was up here too! Fire Walk with ME!
