We made it to #20. So now let me lace you with some numerical knowledge before we jump right in this one… 

The Twenty Year Curse refers to the pattern of presidents of the United States who were elected to office in 1840, 1860, 1880, 1900, 1920, 1940, and 1960 to die in office. This pattern ended with the 1980 presidency of Reagan, who survived his time in office and, notably, an attempted assassination. The number of twenty can also be called a score (as Abraham Lincoln did in his Gettysburg Address). According to The Strokes in the song “You Only Live Once” there are 20 way to see the world, and 20 ways to start a fight…. Alright let’s do this.

Battle at the Berrics: J-Mar was pretty sure that it wouldn’t happen, but Mr. Fairfax proved otherwise. The first clean sweep was delivered over the weekend, and Benny was still willing to claim that “he got lucky.” Modest and smooth. Check out the games, then check out the standings.

On Thursday they announced the nominations for the 2009 Grammy Awards, and even though these awards might not mean anything to some, I’m still pretty hyped that Weezy’s Tha Carter III is up against, In Rainbows, & Viva La Vida for Album of the Year. I can only image him giving his acceptance speech on stage with 50 other dudes and a styrofoam cup of codeine.
