Positive Vibe Manifesto
There seems to be a water boarding of the mind these days. Negative vibrations being poured down our collective breathing channels – we’re choking as a people, and we can’t seem to catch any air. The economy, politics that avoid real issues, our beautiful mother earth in decline – it’s getting heavy, and it’s getting very real out there. So what do we do? We, as in us – the skateboarders, snowboarders, lurkers, friends, brothers, sisters, parents and children of the world. We’re all the same make – of the hominidae variety, yet all so wonderfully different at the same time. Does this life and what’s going on really have to be such a buzz kill? Time to get your head right.
This is not about about turning a blind eye to all that is ugly that’s going on in this world. Yes, indeed, ignorance is bliss – but having the will to evoke change and stay positive contains an even greater bliss. With all this media saturation of how bad things are – where are the stories of good? Where are the stories of outstanding human achievement? What’s your own story of something good happening? What made you laugh today?
We’ve made the mistake of believing what we’re told is what’s happening – instead of believing in ourselves and believing in the great potential that each of us possess. The potential to change things. You can’t help but think with all this drama going on in the world that somehow this shit is not right – that we as a people, as a community, as individuals are better than this. If you question this as we have here at the Boardshop – it’s because it’s the truth. We are better than this. We have all the potential in the universe to change what’s happening around us. Only through action can any of this be achieved.
Focus on the positives people – because there are many. Go have fun – whatever that might be. Go walk around and check out a park. Go hang out with some friends, maybe even make some new ones. Do something nice for someone else. Instead of listening to some music – maybe try making music. Go skate and get out in the streets, or get out in the snow.
Connect with the earth to be reminded why it’s important.
Unplug yourself from the currents of inaction.
The human spirit cannot be measured, restrained or ever be extinguished. We just need to believe it.
“Life is without meaning. You bring the meaning to it. The meaning of life is whatever you ascribe it to be. Being alive is the meaning.”
- Joseph Campbell

Word up.
This guy has obviously taken a dip in the abyss and had a sip of bliss(yeah I rap), thanks Whyt! Your the dude… dude.
why be confused about how things are in life. when the main thing people cant really see sometimes. is the reason too accept and understand on how things just came to be.
